Ice in Sunlight by Julia Leijon

This novella was inspired by the world of The Captive Prince, and did a fascinating job exploring a what-if scenario for a minor character that had gotten lost in the shuffle. I actually read this before Captive Prince, so I can say that it definitely stands on it’s own. The whole story was so incredibly romantic. It was dreamy, and sensual in a really beautiful slow burn way. It isn’t long at all, but it does everything it needs to, and I really enjoyed it.
